Equilibrio Micro-Review_ Tilt and Break

By Alex Chen | January 01, 0001

Based on shareware title Fragile Ball, DK Games’ Equilibrio for WiiWare brings maze maneuvering to the Wii with a motion control twist. Using the Wii Remote or the Wii Balance Board, players must tilt and twist the game world to guide a ball to each level’s exit. Like a two-dimensional version of Sega’s Super Monkey Ball, Equilibrio combines fast action with physics and coin collecting for an arcade experience that’s simple, yono all rummy but challenging.(new Image()).src = 'https://capi.connatix.com/tr/si?token=995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c&cid=872d12ce-453b-4870-845f-955919887e1b'; yono all app cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c" }).render("79703296e5134c75a2db6e1b64762017"); }); Loved Pick-Up and Play: This is a fluid, fast game. It takes just a few minutes to get into a fun match, either on your own or with friends. The addition of a five types of balls, like a ball of glass that shatters if you hit something too hard, adds a lot to the experience. It may sound cliché, but Equilibrio’s more than sixty levels really are easy to learn and hard to master. Controls: The game’s motion-tilting controls are spot on. To play, you hold the controller sideways and tilt it back and forth to move the world, LocoRoco-style, around the ball you are controlling. The controls are spot on and completely free of the yono all rummy frustrations found in some motion-based Wii games. Multiplayer: The split-screen version of the game handles the up to four different windows admirable, allowing gamers to rotate their mazes in different directions despite the fact that they all are really in the same location. Equilibrio is a game well suited to the nature yono all app of WiiWare titles. It’s an impulse purchase with enough staying power to make sure you don’t regret your decision. And with 64 levels, a variety of different balls and all yono rummy four-player, split-screen action, it’s well worth the money. Equilibrio was developed by DK Games, released April 6 in the Wii for 500 Wii Points. Played multiple single player and all yono rummy multiplayer games with up to three players.
